Top Gear Presenter Bins €278k Lamborghini Diablo During filming for Latest Series

Top Gear was out filming in the Yorkshire Dales for the latest Series set to air on BBC One later this year. However it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for one of the presenters.

It didn't go to plan with Paddy as paramedics and a police crew were on hand to help the presenter while he was testing the Lamborghini Diablo as he lost control of it.

A Spokesman for the BBC said: “During Top Gear filming in North Yorkshire today presenter Paddy McGuinness’s car skidded and left the road, coming to an almost immediate stop.

"Paddy was quickly taken to the production unit base for medical checks and is unhurt. No other vehicles were involved and the Police, who had been monitoring filming, were quickly on the scene to assist."

"Safety on Top Gear is always the production team’s priority and the vehicle’s speed at the time was within the road’s limit of 60mph," he continued.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police attended a collision involving a Lamborghini Diablo, which crashed into a field after the driver lost control on the B6255 near Ribblehead at around 3pm.

Aside from this, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris are not believed to have been involved in the incident. It turns out Paddy was out testing that particular stretch of road alone when he spun out of control.

After the crash, the supercar was covered up to hide it from view. There was apparent footage captured that showed the Diablo firing off down the road before crashing into a field.

Thankfully nobody was hurt and Paddy is fine, just a bit shaken up. I guess this was a no likey no lighty kind of moment...
