The Grand Tour Returned on the 18th of January with the first episode entitled MoTown Funk where the three presenters traveled to Detroit and tested out three American Muscle Cars; Specifically those of the Mustang RTR, The Chevrolet Exorcist and the Dodge Demon SRT Super Charger.
The Presenters tested the cars in a number of different ways by means of conducting a decibel metre test to see how loud of a noise each car made and that went well, they then decided to participate in a drag race between the three cars; you’ll have to watch the episode to find out who won the drag race.
Thankfully this series has none of the celebrity segment like in series 2 where each week they had a different celebrity that was different in ways but was similar in others, as this was a segment that was sort of following on from what was left behind in series 1.
The audience and the presenters said at the preview event in London that they were glad to see the back of the segment as they though it was beginning to be drawn out and wasted a lot of their time.
Finally in this episode Jeremy Clarkson Tests the brand new McLaren Senna; Clarkson as you probably know is known to viewers of Top Gear to love the Mclaren range of super cars and is not afraid to talk about them in this episode as he mentions the P1 that was driven by him in series 1 episode 1 “The Holy Trinity”
