He has presented Top Gear since 2016 when he was announced as the first ever non UK host of Top Gear. Joining the show in 2016 along with radio DJ and television presenter Chris Evans LeBlanc was also joined by motoring journalists Chris Harris and Rory Reid along with occasional appearances from Sabine Schmitz and Eddie Jordan.
However the radio DJ had left Top Gear after only one series due to poor ratings and presenter misfits.
In a statement to BBC News LeBlanc "Top Gear has been great fun" saying his decison to leave the show was due to extensive travel and time commitment, he continued to say that he will remain a fan of the show and wishes the rest of the Top Gear team the very best of luck with the show and continued success in the future.
Attention now turns to finding a replacement for LeBlanc after series 26 has wrapped.
Top Gear airs on BBC Two
